On Series trucks, it is either riveted or screwed to the bulkhead.

On 90s/110s/130s, it is affixed to the brake pedal box.

If you're going to lecture someone, make sure you know of what you speak as there is a good chance that the person to whom you are lecturing may be as knowledgeable, or even moreso.

I have three bulkheads with no VINs attached.

Bill don't be stupid - it's clearly mid afternoon. Before noon they call that morning, then after noon it changes to afternoon, then around 5 evening begins. Just wanted to clear that up as I see many mixing those all up.

The VIN on my watch is on the time hack booster. Is that legit? Should it be on the back or etched across the crystal instead?

Interesting to hear someone say that "he rolled."
Aaron was on the list of licensed salespersons for that dealership, I think it was Patterson Auto or something like that.

Bottom line here on this....if you had your truck TOUCHED by this fellow in NC you are more than likely on the list managed by CBP. Their only way to track you and your truck is via VIN# from his records.

Other than that the only way it can be done is via state maintained DMV records(i.e. search all 1975-1989 Land Rovers) - but this is another herculean feat for interagency cooperation - not that it can't be done....just difficult and time consuming.

So, bottom line - they are running down every truck touched by this person in NC that they have the records and history on...I said it when the original seizure occurred, and it was brought up numerous times since.

Yes it is a tragedy - and once again - that person should be blacklisted, and held accountable.

I don't think you have anything to worry about if his guys worked on your NAS truck, or your ROW truck that was legally imported by someone other than Aaron/Down East Rovers/GB4X4 ...

I think you'll find it on the chassis in some cases

not 100% sure about that....sounds as if they grab first and it is up to you to prove later, although I agree about the NAS though

The reason I say that is we have not heard (yet) of anyone's truck being seized in today's roundup that wasn't an ROW truck imported by Aaron/Down East Rovers/GB4X4 LLC ...

It was definitely a "guilty, until proven innocent" play this am.

Now I'm left with trying to obtain discovery on why my particular VIN landed on this list.

I want to believe that I bought from the afforemended ass-clown of a VIN switcher BEFORE he became a whore...back in the early days..... When the 3-5 vehicles he did a year was a side effort.
