Let's just be careful jumping the gun! I know I would be livid if someone came and took my Defenders!

I just remember myself loosing my cool a couple of weeks ago over some tires that the seller honestly didn't know were as old as they were. I made myself look like an ass before hearing from the seller.

I know that situation doesn't compare to this one, but let's just wait and see if Dr. A was deceived by his supplier. If he was knowingly bringing VIN swapped trucks into the US and selling them to honest people, then God have mercy on his soul because he will be forever blacklisted and the blacklist will probably extend to his associates.

All we have right now is speculation and assumption(rightfully so). I remember when he was selling a lightweight a couple/few years ago and I was really tempted to buy it!

I really hope that everyone gets their trucks back!

Also, I agree that it's interesting that Himalaya has not chimed in since they are in bed with the Dr now. I'm sure I will get my head bitten off for that comment.

Damn morbid curiosity. I blame you Doug. When you write it like that, I have no choice but to Google it myself. Wish I hadn't.

At least I had the mental strength not to click on images...

On another note - thank god that West Coast Defenders made an official uninformed FB statement about the situation and happily found a way to make it about themselves:

Rough day for some defender owners. Dept. of Homeland Security seized a good amount of black/ gray market Defenders. Sorry to the people who were taken advantage of. Happy to report not one of our customers had their Defender taken. Pays to play by the rules.

Ok. I was going to bed, but I have to comment! West Coast Defenders are a bunch of douches that have jumped on the trend wagon to sell to john mayor and Ashton kutcher wannabes!

I'm going to take my army prescribed happy pills now and go to bed.

Yes, it may be fully true that they are indeed "douchebag boners" who like to sell to famous people but I am heartened to know that once again, via their FB page, they have all the answers. Like the 16-yo with the bandaid on her head for attention, WCD deftly can turn any situation not involving them into a situation where they can talk about themselves.

Oh, and the pic they have displayed as part of their "pays to play by the rules" FB ad campaign is of a NAS 110. Well played, WCD.

I had 2 homeland security agents, state police, and local sheriff in my drive way when I went outside to go to work today. My, what I believe to be an 1986 110 was arrested and seized about 8:30 this morning.

When I purchased my vehicle I went to NC from Florida to look at and drive it. I compared the VIN on the bill of sale to the frame VIN and the VIN plate near the master cylinder. I in no way thought I was gambling in purchasing a vehicle that was licensed in NC. and had been in the states for a year prior to me purchasing it. The state police detective showed me where the engine block VIN had been filed and re-stamped.

On the dept of treasury process receipt it lists Land Rover Vehicles and the defendant. There are 61 VINS listed on the warrant. I was told I have 35 days to file a claim and was not given a form or anything to file. I spoke to the attorney listed on the complaint and he told me the case is still and open investigation and could not talk to me about it for another 24-48 hours.

I did not join this forum and post this to be a part of the negative BS. I am reaching out for ideas on how to get my vehicle back because when I spoke to the US attorney he indicated the US government has no intention of giving our vehicles back do to safety reasons. I know it is not up to him a judge will make that determination.
