Well done, sir. But 20 minutes too late. Look at the depths of Kent's despair from his FB post a minute earlier.

I know it would take a second miracle (that's probably not worth fighting for), but they should be held responsible for damages done. Hell, they should have to compensate every owner, for the lost year of possession..

What a freakin' waste of our tax dollars (I know, not like it hasn't been said already)..

Can a civil claim be made against the government for the damage or was there some deal made that they be held harmless if the trucks were returned? In a perfect world the guy who authorized the seizures should have to reimburse everybody out of his own pocket and not with tax payer dollars.

Best news I've heard in quite some time!

I haven't seen my truck in 3 and a half years. I hope she's alright....

It's been said before, but I'll say it again. Will is the man!

I'm totally ok with my tax dollars going back to the citizenry. In a perfect world all the people involved would be out of their taxpayer-funded jobs.

I am curious if my two NAS V8 110 Engines, transmissions and axles will be returned that were seized from former Wilmington shop the day this all went down. I had no vehicles that were taken, but the FEDS did seem to believe my NAS parts looked suspect. I had to replace them for the clients.

I came to understand that the feds took a LOT of stuff in addition to complete vehicles when they conducted the raid at said business 27 months ago....

Great news for Kent if it means he's getting his truck back, but WTF for Zach! I sure hope they make this right. That's unacceptable!

It would be a tremendous statement during the celebration of our independence, echoing the warnings of our founding fathers (particularly George Washington) about standing up against a tyrannical government that has overstepped its bounds....

I thought the trucks were to be returned by July 1st? Or did I miss something somewhere?

*edit* after going back and re-reading things sure does look like today should be D-Day aka Delivery day..

Per the settlement agreement, the remaining Land Rovers are required to be re-delivered by the government to their respective owners before July 1st.

Kent's truck was not part of "this" seizure. It was part of the original seizure at Aaron's business. A whole different kettle of fish.

Mine wasn't exactly part of that group of seized Rovers.

Hey all!,

I wanted to communicate with Kent first before I made this fully public! Now that I have, I can share that the government has agreed to return to the individual owners' Rovers which were seized from the importer's shop in Wilmington back in 2013. I have this in writing from the Assistant U.S. Attorney. And, I understand that some of the owners have already started to receive communication from federal agents concerning the return of their vehicles. I'm working now to confirm re-delivery dates for these vehicles, including Kent's, and hope to know more in the next few days.

I'll rest a lot easier once I know these Rovers are back in their owners' hands!
