Soooo, here we go I am going to let the cat out of the bag because our good friend Will is such a speedy and efficient worker... Long story short with the support of Lav and Jonesy we will be producing a Defender of Defenders grill badge to commiserate Will Hedrick and the work he has done for this community. We will be auctioning off serial number 001 to fund the badges and I will be setting up a gofund me account so 100% of the proceeds go to Will for his extra effort. Here is a prototype of our design of what they will look like. See below for more details!

Mary Ann, I certainly cannot speak for Will, nor would I attempt to- but the good news is there are some pearls that have become officially published/documented. Wether Will can/will delineate those, I do not know...
On the other hand, for a case to get through the Federal court system under a year is quite unbelievable!!

Just FYI I changed your "commiserate" to "commemorate" as I figured that's what you meant.

There's going to be like 12 grille badges on people's trucks by the end of the year...

All, I thought I'd post just a quick congratulations to Will Hedrick too!! I am Ben Hedrick, one of Will's brothers and I can you that there is NO other person in the "Land Rover" World that takes his pride and honor to the vehicles more...! Period. As some of you may or may not know, I'm a "Jeep guy" and the Land Rover World is a little foreign to me but I've learned a lot more through Will and knowing the Jeep certainly a lot more, I can very much appreciate the dedication and passion that you all have for this brand!!

Willh, CONGRATS!! And what's next, for the Defender of Defenders??!

Best to you all,
Ben Hedrick

PS: I'll go crawl back in my "Jeep cave..."

Great work, Will.

Sadly, the government seizing, storing, and returning these vehicle on "their dime" is actually our dime. Where is the accountability? What will be the repercussions be for the district attorney? In my world, malpractice results in 5-10 million dollar civil verdicts daily and at the risk of medical licensure. I certainly do not want to see the district attorney "paying" out for this error, as again, that is our money. I would, however, like his position and ability to practice law be scrutinized.

Hey Ben!! Awesome to see you on here- going to send AEV a link ;-)

Will did do awesome, and just confirms his substance and moral compass to those who don't know him. And those of us that do, no surprise he took this on!!

Welcome aboard, and don't go back to the Jeep cave- we can be gentle...

FOIA can shed some light on the costs. Oh yeah, Ron Dade says it will be redacted so don't bother trying.

Will, awesome...truly awesome. Hopefully the win somewhat makes up for the professional & personal sacrifices you've made to support the community.

Congratulations Will, Defender of Defenders! Although my truck was never seized, I have been keeping up to date with what seems to be the most tense event since the Cuban Missile Crisis. You reflect the Land Rover community in a fashion more positive than I or anybody could ever have done, and I thank you for that.

Anyone else want a National Holiday for this occasion!?
