Sorry dude, I think the bozos in Baltimore would be rolling their Defenders and and starting them on fire, right after they looted the local LR parts and service shops.

Will, no doubt you're a hero and I'm in awe of your efforts.

Question- you were representing 24+/- trucks, but didn't the seizure involve far more? Was there a quantity of genuinely (technically) illegal trucks which were taken and disposed of in some way? Did the .gov lose a battle but win the war?

Outstanding Will! What you have done is nothing short of amazing. I would love to get the behind the scenes story of everything you had to do to go up against the govt.

Congratulations to Will and the owners. Outstanding.
Looking forward to "return' stories as well as any shareable details of the final negotiation conference.

Will,

Even though I had no vehicle in the suite or will probably never own a Defender, I want you to know that what you have done deserves more than a simple Thank You. However there doesn't seem to be as grand a wording as I would like, so; Thank You!

If you are ever in my area the Coke a Cola is on me!

To the owners,

Congratulations, lets see some news reports and Youtube video of the Vehicle Returns!

I say this site honors Will's deeds by changing the longstanding background image with a pic of will for a provisional period.

While I think the outcome of the case is wonderful and Will has a place in the Land Rover hall of fame I have to ask if the outcome of this case will have any affect on the way Homeland & customs will treat future Defender imports?

Is the vehicle identity still going to be considered the frame even though Defenders are easily re-framed when the old one wears out.

1990 saw the introduction of the 200tdi so I suspect imports will be more numerous. Since the 200 & 300 tdis are so similar I supect many dead 200 tdi engines have been replaced by inexpensive used 300tdi engines from a breaking yard. I have heard that some 200 tdi parts are out of production.

Does one still have to import a 1990 Defender and a new galvanized frame and a remanufactured 300tdi engine then assemble at home?

Were any precedents established other than Will's nomination to Land Rover sainthood?
