Guys in Jeeps pretend like they are not looking at how awesome your vehicle is.

Haha, you guys! This shit is funny cause it's true!! My buddy has a killer 2 dr Tahoe and I want to take him on the trail just to shut him up. He talks so much shit. It's all fun and games until I have to pull his ass out! My little 4 bagger diesel haha! I have never had a Rover before, ppl are practically falling out of moving vehicles to talk to me. It's crazy, I've had first gen Bronco's, and a dozen jeep's and nothing has ever gotten attention like this truck. I'm loving it!

The other point as to why this board has such good tech is that not a lot of people know how to fix a land rover. A lot of people can fix a jeep. People fixing NAS D90s just happened to find there way here (mainly from the yahoo group originally).

I deeply value the experience and knowledge of the folks on D-90.

As I understand it, D-90 has some users that go back to some old, archaic, pre-forum thing called an email list (?). Then there was thing called the "Land Rover Owner" email list. Which goes back to 1990. Then before that there was writing using bearing grease on body panels under the flickering light of wicks dipped in gear oil. I might be making that up.

From Bill Caloccia:
"Quite a while ago I posted a request if there was such a list, the two lists I came up with were 'offroad' and 'british-cars'. The former list 'offroad', has a bunch of four-wheel drive people one it, who own various vehicles, and it is a rather low-volume, high-signal-to-noise type list. People seem generally helpful, no matter what type of vehicle they have, and I'm happy to be a subscriber. The latter list, 'brittish-cars' is a rather active list, however, by volume, and by a recent survey, there are very few present land/range rover types on it."

Terriann may be the only person here who remembers those early days. I'm guessing that most of the substance comes from the experience accumulated from owning, driving, and fixing these somewhat rare things over a long period of time.

Ok, here are a couple recent pics. She's not the prettiest yet! Have plans for a new galvi chassis, sand blasting and powder coating the whole thing white! Working on a custom rollcage, front and rear bumpers. I already have a full LED conversion of all lights, including truck 12 build head lights. The two pics with all the stickers are from 2010 on a 1500 mile trek through Ireland before its trek over the pond. Super excited and ready to get rocking on the build I will keep it posted.

Oh yeah, by the way I haven't been able to stop driving it! Using as a daily driver putting on about 60 miles a day! I am in love, please don't tell my wife. Oh yeah look close at the hood badge on the pic with the stickers with the lights on. Can you read what it says?
