Around the 2 minute mark, just as hes about to crush that Side By Side, I am pretty sure his tire went fla, and as the clip changes someone is climbing in to the SBS to move it.

Do you think he replanted three trees for everyone he mowed down?

Apparently it is a "style" of offroading. I think it looks like a blind person could do it.

I think it's rather humorous. You guys are all bent about some redneck. A redneck with a well paying job for that matter. I'm still undecided if it's jealousy in a twisted way that you secretly desire the chance to beat the hell out of something, or that he probably has more money just in that 502 Ramjet than most 90's cost alone. Make no mistake, that's not some 10k slapped together "buggy" he built with his Lowe's welder.

Why does everyone care? If you are a bystander at an event like that,.its simple Stay the hell out of the way

The money aspect wasn't even a consideration for me, it was the stigma that comes along with the worst aspect of offroading - tearing shit up, collateral damage, disrespect, and the potential for real injuries. It's one thing to do the throttle and bounce that we see in the rock formations out west, but without knowing where this was actually filmed, it looks familiar to areas I've wheeled where it's seen as a privilege to be there. No jealousy here.

I completely get the tearing it up concern. That's how land gets closed. I didn't say I agree with his driving style. Maybe I've become numb since moving to Maine. Before I moved I never witnessed a "sport" like drag racing your snowmobile on grass in July.

I'm sure he would think that what we do is retarded as well. It's not like he was running through salmon spawning grounds or something. Some of you all need to get out more.

On the helmet issue, I used to know a guy who drove his buggy he was building for a test drive without his helmet once. I say used to know, and once, because he rolled it in a ditch and hit his head on the cage and died. So like the fact you can legally ride a motorbike without a helmet in some states, it doesn't make it a smart move. You'll see he has passengers in some of those takes too - even worse imho. It's one thing putting yourself in that situation but taking others with you is just plain dumb.

No, I'm not a vendor. Besides, I was only exercising the same right as everyone else here by posting my opinion.

I'm not disagreeing with any of you really; use safety gear, don't cause unnecessary damage to the environment, use the appropriate restrictions when dealing with onlookers...yada yada yada. But this is the US of fricken A where one is suppose to be held accountable for their own actions. I'm kinda tired of this effort to legislate everything we do or don't do or the "my way is the only way" attitude... as some wise men once said, you can't legislate stupid. If these rather well-off rednecks want to be idiots, let them. If the bystanders want to be idiots, let them. Isn't evolutionism the rage these days? Something about survival of the fittest?

Look, I grew up riding on all sorts of mechanical/non-mechanical contraptions without any safety gear, and I'm not that old. It was just the way it was down home on the farm in Idaho. And what I'm saying is that outside metropolis and the suburbs, this is life in the USA. Perhaps I'm the only redneck country Land Rover owner on here.

And how is 3 sapplings removed from carbon dioxide scrubbing duty any worse than transplanting a non-emissions compliant TDI into our Rovers?
