Any one know the status of these door hinges? I can't wait to get a couple of pairs - the rust weeping is just killing me in the winter.

HEY GUYS, THANKS FOR ALL OF THE GREAT RESPONSE REGARDING THE HINGES. MY FIRST ORDER IS BEING BUILT RIGHT NOW. THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE LATEST MID FEBRUARY. I'LL HAVE KITS FOR D90 AND D110. THE HINGES WILL BE HARDCOATED SATIN BLACK. THIS FINISH IS PREFERRED BECAUSE WE FEEL IT GOES BEST WITH ANY COLOR DEFENDER, AND IF DESIRED THEY CAN BE PAINTED EASIER THAN IF THEY WERE ANNODIZED. I'LL BE SURE TO POST AS SOON AS I HAVE KITS. I CAN BE REACHED AT 914-271-6661 OR 914-441-6690 FOR ANY QUESTIONS. THANKS AGAIN, TONY.

Tony - thanks for the quick reply, that's great news. Have you set the final price yet?

The hinge kit complete for D90 will retail for $299.99, the kit for D110 will retail for $599.99. I'm expecting enough product to assemble 50 kits on my "start up" order, so immediate availability will be good. Any interested parties should let me know so i can put the names on my list. Thanks, Tony.

Tony, do you have any profile pics (farther away) of the hinges mounted on the Defender? I just wanted to see the hinge mounted on the door, and see how it all comes together.

Thanks!

Tony - any update on the status of the door hinges? I'm ready to beta test when you're ready!

I just had all of my hinges sandblasted and repainted. Cost? $20.

I don't know. For now I think I'll just roll around in it on the floor.

Reviving this old thread. Has anyone had luck with getting replacement hinges, whether via Tony's new hinge, or the Rovers North hinge kit?

If so, how did they work out for you?

Surfing around tonight I checked his web site and found the hinges. He is referring people to Rovers North and Atlantic British for sales

http://www.motosource.com

I calculated that I can repaint my hinges 1729 times for the price of his new ones.

They don't look right to me. They should be shaped correctly, not like a DeLorean part.

Only for trail rigs that are beat up and people who don't care about any detail.

Would recommend the new design genuine hinges. George @ RDS is advertising a set of them.

Actually I can't even believe that anyone is carrying these motosrouce parts. The guy makes stuff out of Jeepish diamond plating for Rovers. What did he miss?

They also seem a wee bit expensive...

There's a page on ECR that goes into detail about it. They've been testing a set for a while.

It's got some bushings and stuff in it to prevent corrosion and better pot metal or something.

They're also completely zinc coated which the stock ones are not. All in all they are nice. RN has a picture of them on they're site. You get everything to install - all bolts, gaskets, captive nuts, ect.
You get more than the hinges alone.

$249 Are they made out of 300m? For that price I would weld the door shut before I bought those.
