As a rower I find this hilarious and also cringe-worthy

It looks like a head race of some sort. No idea on the distance but they should have had someone in a wakeless launch there officiating. Bow seat on the first eight took an ejector crab - that looked like it hurt. The cox in the 4 sitting in the course was totally clueless. Not sure if he was in the last boat in a heat, but he should definitely not have stopped in the middle of the course. Then the wave of quads crashing which was inevitable given the stopped 4+.

The people who are yelling are totally useless. The only person that should ever be talking is the cox and the guy with a megaphone. The worst is the lady who yells, "A**hole, you ruined it for them!" what a jerk!

I was a coxswain my freshman year at Boston University. I watched this and brought back a memorable experience for me. My first race ever was the Foot of the Charles Regatta. A MIT boat going in the wrong direction crossed paths with my boat and oars caught each other. A few of my guys went flying. I actually had to fish out a seat that went into the water. Dead stop we got the boat back in order and started back up. We were not going to let this ruin our race. The rest of the race we did non stop power 20s (20 strokes usually called to make a passing move) passed the MIT boat and then a Tufts boat we were making a move on when the MIT boat hit us. Completely exhausted after the race I waited for the MIT boat to finish. I had a few choice words with their coxswain. I made a grown man cry! Even though we didn't place in the top three in our division, we probably would of finished on top at the pace our coach was timing us at before and after the collision. Team decided to throw me in the water anyways (usually reserved for the winning coxswain). Very cold but I didn't care, as I was the first BU coxswain that year to get the winning treatment.

The parties we had were epic!

One of my boys raced all thru High School. Thats just nuts.
It looks like the race location is not appropriate for racing. Its far too narrow.

Haha; I was hoping for a little more damage and not a bunch of confused girl and shitheel parent commentary.

Saw a pretty epic t-bone this year at a regatta (the sailing variety). Broken fiberglass and epitaphs you don't hear on shore. This looks like a piss poor venue to hold this type of event

I rowed port in high school. I was terrible. I caught so many crabs. I swear the guy in front of me was just going to turn around and punch me straight in the face. I stroked the lightweight 8 in college, still terrible but this, this is just pathetic!
