Heritage certificate for imported 110

I just imported a 1985 110 Wagon through Portsmouth Marine Terminal and to be sure of the date ordered a hertitage certificate from the Heritage Motor Center with the chassis number and build date etc. I was told by US Customs that the the certificate or some type of authentication was now a requirement . Not sure if this applies elsewhere but just thought I would pass it on.
