Henery Rifle

Considering buyin a couple of these. Does anyone here own one or have a story to share? I'm considering a couple of 22 cal. models for the youngins and a Mares leg .45. for a pack rifle for two footin it.

When I lived in San Angelo back in the '50s, I found a spent cartridge case from a Henry. Flattened, corroded, .44 rimfire with the double firing pin impression. You could find some good stuff there back then.

Hi Bill, I have one in 17hmr. Fit and finish is good and it shoots well. I think you'll be surprised at how nice a rifle it is.

I've got a reproduction Yellow Boy in 44-40, it was made by Uberti. I have shot it 4 times, they are neat. "Load on Sunday and fire all week"

I would imagine any gun store would have it. Maybe even Walmart. Heck, you're down in Texas... probably sell it at 7-11 (ha,ha).
It's darn sure pricier than .22 LR though.
