Help needed in Maine

Hey all,

A couple of friends of mine are on their way back from a trip through Nova Scotia and have some mechanical issues.. My friend's d90's front driveshaft blew out, so he's been running on the rear d/s for a while now... it seems that the rear driveshaft is about to go, and the diff is also on its way out.

They are looked for any of the following to buy/borrow;

- Rear D90/D1 driveshaft
- Rear diff (w/ 4.11 gearing)
- D2 Transfer Case output flange to front driveshaft (the two trucks he is with, D1/D2 both have D2 front driveshafts)

They are currently in Bangor, ME but making their way towards Bruce Fowler's house (Winter Romp / Benton, ME)

If anyone is able to help, please send me an email; rmuller@gmail.com and I'll get you in touch with them.

Thanks
Ryan

I can loan them 90 driveshafts.
Don't have any 4.11 geared diffs though.
Doubt I have any D2 flanges, but would have just about anything stock D90 they would need.

I have left the shop for the weekend, but will check the board in the morning to see if I can help.

You could put a stock diff in the rear if you are not going to run the front drive shaft, at least to get home.

I made it!!!!

took an RRC driveshaft off Bruce's Rangie. vibs were bad on low RPMs but made if 7 hours home.

I blew two Tom Woods driveshafts, (don't get me started... I think they are ok for west coast rocks & dry, but with east coast mud, water and sand I go through u-joints and centering balls at least 4-5 times a year) my rear diff and possibly my front diff or CV. I just noticed that about 30 minutes from home.. oh yeah and a blown tire too.

don't ever go to Nova Scotia

Thanks to all that were willing to help! means a lot.

Nova Scotia has cost me one engine, two transmissions, and just a little of my sanity. The Rover guys there are GREAT so I keep going back...
