Help me, ... I have seen everything now!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Land-...#ht_500wt_1073

What were they thinking?

Would this fit in another thread in the chit chat section? (you know which one!)

Here is another one I found on ebay tonight! (not for sale, but in the background for some parts for sale).

Can't believe it is two in one night.

The 130 needs some TLC, and the 6x6 thing can be cool when its done right (like foley does it with the extra driven axle and proper set-up). You never see dually defenders, and the extra-axle thing seems to be a pretty popular and effective set-up for those who need it.

But the 109 looks pretty bad, and the ad has a longer disclaimer than it does a description - there are no pix of how it was set up, and a lot of perfectly reasonable questions are left unanswered. I bet its front-wheel drive. I would say it sucks...

I thinkyou'll find that for sale is the US shortly, it sold on ebay UK for around 3K. I think.

The ebay link....I've seen this before in the UK some years ago. It wasn't the horrible yellow colour then.

On a serious note, what does the extra axle gain you?

load and stability, at the cost of maneuverability, articulation and mileage. but i dont know why youd want a dead axle on a LR.

Those Foley pics are very cool!

Note the pic of the offset A-arm to clear that serious looking pinion to the second axle!

I could think of many uses!
