Help - '98 P38 EAS

So, I'm driving to Baltimore this evening when just West of the GW Bridge does my EAS system in the '98 4.0 go into hard fault mode. To make matters worse, the car is loaded with gear and I'm towing a boat. I get off near Ridgefield and am settled into a hotel for the night.

What's my best option to get this addressed in the morning? Land Rover Paramus is nearby. I just had the EAS system worked on at my local dealer, so perhaps they can work something out if it's related. Otherwise, is there an independent shop that anyone recommends in the area?

Thanks.

Crappy day to drive here. Forecast is for 3 inches of rain by rush hour.

Thanks Keith. I ended up going to the dealer where they reset the EAS and had me on my way. The only culprit is a small leak at the exhaust solenoid on the valve block, but it sure wasnt enough to cause a hard fault, so it's a mystery. Given the long round trip drive this weekend, I pulled the plug on the eas module so as to avoid another potential fault. The system remained well pressurized and didn't lose any air after 4 hours of driving without a compressor. Ah, the mysteries of Lucas and the EAS.

By the way, kudos to Land Rover Paramus for taking me in uannounced and getting me going ASAP. They charged me $150 for diagnostics, but the tech spent about 30 minutes as we sprayed soapy water on the valve block, discussed the fault codes and talked about the positives and negatives of EAS. Very good service.

Rainy it was!
