Headed to New Zealand for a while this winter: Rover to buy?

This looks kinda' fun: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-326246913.htm

Anyway I am headed to NZ if things go as planned (almost was able to do it last year) and I will need semi-reliable (HA!) transportation to get here and there.

Thinking of trying to buy something around or near the 25 mark so I can ship it home later. I may end up doing this job a couple years of off and on so even a 1986-87-88 may be possible as I have a place to store it there if needed till the 25 year mark if I am going back and forth a bit.

Obviously I'll try and find a solid D90/110 but it may well end up being a 'Yota LC diesel or something.... or i may just buy a nice little Honda/Nissan and have a reliable *comfortable* car. LOL.

Had one of these in red too (but not so lifted) when we were there 12 years ago - sweet little truck actually. Solid axles, turbo diesel and quite fun. PTO winch was neat but it hung out like a friggin' punched lip on the front. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-324046783.htm

So - leaning toward this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-322595174.htm

Or this beauty to use then ship the running gear home, or leave it in NZ a few more years till it's 25th birthday http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-326076026.htm
