So we are doing Penguin instead of the other flightless bird, turkey. No kids this year, so it is just the two of us. It is cold and windy here so not much on outdoor activities going on. Actually, no matter how you cook penguin it is awful, simply awful. They taste like canned rancid sardines. Kind of why you never hear of any penguin recipes. Actually my wife is doing just a turkey breast. I do think that if they tasted better penguin would be ideal. They show up in a little tuxedo, ready for the party. You take them off to the kitchen, whack them on the head and serve them up, little flippers folded across their breast, cute top hat centered on them. Simply picturesque presentation.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Stay safe, warm, and stuffed! ;-)

Penguin! Haha. What a bad deal they got on the evolutionary food chain. Can't fly and they have to hunt for food in the water where they are easy prey. It would suck being born knowing that your role in life is to BE food.

As far as flightless, I have three wild turkeys on my tower roof that say otherwise. If they weren't so gamey, they'd be on the menu.
