Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Not to be too sappy, but thank you to the admins for hosting/supporting this site. And thank you to all the members for 'enabling' my Defender habit.

While there are many other things I am sure we are all thankful for, it is always nice to have a little diversion to dream about the next mod, the next part to squirrel away in the garage or to see what repair I will be making soon.

Wishes to all for a happy and safe thanksgiving!

British Trucks don't celebbrate Turkey Day!

I logged on to see any one's wife was having a hard time getting the stuffing and pies into the extra fridge in the garage and making them sell "ROVER STUFF"

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, mostly I am thankful that my RRC made the trip to the in-laws (400 miles) with no issues. I thought about driving the 110 but if Murphy struck it seemed a bit worrisome to leave the 110 on the side of the road. It was comical that of the five vehicles I saw broken down and left for dead on the shoulder of the road, one was a P38a and the other a MK III range rover.

Gotta love Land Rovers.

Cheers

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

May your stuffing be tasty

May your turkey plump,

May your potatoes and gravy

Have never a lump.

May your yams be delicious

And your pies take the prize,

And may your Thanksgiving dinner

Stay off your thighs!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Well, ... I'l be sappy:
Thanks for you guys and this place where I can take respite from the daily grind and think about getting away from the rat race.

It is a pleasure to have a place to celebrate the idea of these trucks and the lifestyle they represent.

I have a great time dreaming about the places around the country that my 110 WILL take me some day!

Thanks
Dendy

Hope everyone had a great TG. Does anyone have any stories to share? Mine was pretty boring....at first, went to my sisters house, I made prime rib and some other beef dish (I don't do turkey due to my fear of a hormone induced coma). It would of been a lot funnier if things went as plan. My original plan was to have Ron Jeremy show up dressed up as a pilgrim for dinner, he said he would of loved to show up but he had to go to a family engagement (I didn't know he had family here in LA) In retrospect, I think it was a good thing he didn't show up because my sister dosen't think very highly of him and she probably would of gotten really pissed off, although I'm sure my parents would of had a blast with him around I'm sure. Especially my dad. So anyway after my sister put her kids to bed, I called up a few buddies and some girls and we went to some diner called "The Kettle" in Manhattan Beach for some pie and as a staging area and then we went to Sharky's in Hermosa Beach. It burned down a few years ago and they just this year rebiult the place. Lots of hot single girls there, I recommend that bar if you guys ever stop by there. The girls gave each other lap dances and that was pretty hot. Other than that nothing crazy happened although there was one funny thing that happened at the diner earlier. My friend who brought the petite cute girl (you could tell he was trying to get with her) didn't tell me what she did for a living before we met up but my male talent friend said she looked familiar. So as the converstation continued, it turns out she used to be female talent (pornstar) and later my friend told me he shot a scene with her in the past years ago. She claims shes not talent anymore but rather an invester now. It was funny as hell to put it all together sitting down at the table eating pumpkin pie. My friend never did find out...at least not yet, wondering if I should tell him. Anyway that was about it, nothing rover related, been driving my GMC work truck until I get my D90 R380/TC back from British Pacific. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I had the luck of seeing Toms D90 Thursday night as I was driving home from my parents house in my wifes LR3. Nice ending to turkey day! One day we'll connect in person.
