If it was a 95 NAS truck, rebuilt into a 110, why would they rebuild the motor and replace the EFI with new Carbs? Looks like a VIN swap to me... Other than the dash, I did not see any NAS parts.

Yeah, its gotta be a cheap yellow paint job over a exMoD truck - even the pedals are yellow except where the ends have been touched up with black.

I think this belongs in the "Hall of Shame"!

Follow-up Post:

The suspension, steering and front brakes are from a Citroen SM (great stuff, tough, strong and extremely well engineered). The engine is from a 1985 Nissan 300ZX Turbo, as is the wiring, for the most part. 5-speed transmission, transfer case and front differential came from a 1985 Nissan Frontier/Pathfinder. The rear differential and inboard disc brakes are Jaguar (donít remember from what model). Both differentials are limited slip, at a 3.5:1 ratio. The rear wheels are set up with tie rods that mount to the frame. This was all engineered with Janet Jones ( Indy car driver) and the rear toe in is adjustable. The rear toe adjusts according to body lean. You can really accelerate when exiting a corner. After extensive trial I am running 32 bar in the front spheres and 18 bar in the rear spheres, with strong valving both front and back. It still rides better than any 4x4 I've ever been in. I am using adjustable DS spheres on all four corners. The frame is boxed stainless steel, self-made. The fire wall is hot dip galvanized as are the Citroen sub-frames. The door latches are Mercedes with 69 grand prix handles on the outside. There are other neat little parts from other cars but I've listed the main ones.

The car has been driven in its current state for about 25,000 miles so all of the little bugs have been worked out. The mechanical components have proven to be trouble free. With the weight distribution, the traction is tremendous, even in deep (2 foot) snow.

Indeed. It belongs in a museum! This has come up for sale before, more than once I think. Notice the dates on some of the photos and the note at the bottom stating it has not been driven for 8 years.

I am just sitting here and shaking my head.......For a vehicle as beautiful as these, why oh why would someone mess them up as bad as some of these are? I guess as they say, everyone likes something different, but there has to be a limit?

Although, I am a watch collector and I have seen Diamond studded Panerai watches, and the ones that I have seen remind me of the Pink and Black Range Rover. You know someone thought it was a good idea, but you have to question their motivation? I am still just shaking my head as I have no idea why anyone would do to some of these rides what they appear to have done in these pictures?

Follow-up Post:

Ok, about an hour or so after reading this and I am on the bay just surfing around and sure enough, I find a rover that sucks. But what makes it funny to me is that it is in the area in which I currently am living! (If someone else has posted this, I apologize, I did not see it posted before?)

So here is my contribution to this post! And once again, Why would someone do this to such a great machine? Why not just paint your Drill press, and put some neon lights around the bottom of it and don't forget to put the pink feathers on the top, just so everyone will notice it!!

I have to say I would take the green one in a heartbeat. I know it got trashed on by the self proclaimed Rover gods but who gives a rip, I think it's cooler than a Rubicon or an LR3.

The yellow one actually looks pretty good in that picture except for the wheels, but that would only cost a few hundred to have them refinished by a wheel shop. I like the black top, but then again, I can't see the interior either...

I can't imagine the painstaking work it would take to actually get all the wiring & fiber-optic cables right in that stretch SC'd so that the dash doesn't light up like a Christmas Tree.

that was on ebay again yesterday. The guy said it got 23mpg with a 3.9. I reported it and emailed him to tell him he is a donkey.

All I can say is thank god this is not a Rover.........This may be the worst looking thing I have seen here? It is just my personal opinion, but anyone who buys a Land Rover/Range Rover and puts big spinning wheels on it and tricks it out so it sits low has lights on the bottom should really have the vehicle revoked! Personal style is one thing, but if you want something that looks stupid, just buy an American car and add something to it, as most American cars are kind of silly looking anyways. But please, don't buy a Landie and try to trick it out! It is like wearing a Tuxedo and then wearing shorts or wearing sandels! I am just baffeled about all of this?
