Anyone want to take a guess as to what's going on here?

Yep! The whole outer face of the bulkhead just has a skin laid over top of the original rotten metal. It had me fooled until I noticed the lower hinge moving 1/2" in either direction when the door was opened and closed. I've seen a lot of dodgy repairs, but that's definitely a first.

It's a 5 door built by some guy over in the UK...I think it's been in the country for about a week and has already cooked the clutch and developed a handful of leaks. It's surprisingly not a bad truck overall, especially given what the owner paid, but I did get a serious chuckle out of the bulkhead repair. I'm sure it won't be the last surprise I find once we start to dig in.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet Sweet soft top - oh my god look at this crap. It has a built in wind brake! Santana

Land Rover Defender 109 | eBay

Thanks for the interest on the newly imported 1988 LAND ROVER 109 SANTANA ( LEFT HAND DRIVE ) powered by a 4 cylinder diesel 2.5 engine with a 5 speed gear box, power steering and front disc brakes., the frame and the body are solid.

This truck was legally imported from Europe a couple of weeks ago and we have all the paperwork in order. We haven't done any restoration or work on it, this is the way it was imported, it has been driven around and everything seems to be in good working condition but please feel free to arrange inspection and test drive before the end of the auction, (more pictures available). The truck is currently located in South Florida and comes with a clean Florida title.

The photos speak true of the truck and is sold as is with no warranties or guarantees express or implied, it has been listed as a 1980 because Ebay doesn't recognize the vin #

Many thanks

Somewhere there is a picture of a 130 RRC with a hi-cap bed on it that actually was done fairly decently. I think I posted a picture on this site a really long time ago.
