Range Rover Covered in Coins Redefines Money Car

Posted On: Mar 22, 2013 By: Charles Kayajian Category: Land Rover News
It is not uncommon to hear a Range Rover referred to as a “money” car. Typically, the expression is used as a way to recognize the vehicle’s premium quality and premium price tag. However the term has taken on a whole new meaning in Dubai, after the design shop “Coins Car” glued thousands of pieces of metal currency to the exterior of a Range Rover.

This custom Range Rover exterior features over 57,000 individual coins, as well as images of unidentified men in traditional Arabian clothing. The whole production is a little over-the-top, which is fitting for a land of excess and exuberance like Dubai. With years of covering Land Rover and Range Rover aftermarket modifications, this certainly ranks near the top in terms of unique-factor. We can only imagine how much extra curb weight 57,000 coins add to an already hefty SUV, though we doubt any potential buyer would be terribly concerned with something like fuel efficiency.

Probably around 400 lbs. A penny is around 3 grams

Manchester VT, not any other Manchester! The color is poor, but it was a fire truck so it's not horribly surprising.

Dupont did say in there web site that bold solid colours where in, but boy that RR is, how would Bill say ugly

That tangiers orange FC101 is sweet, I was going to paint BON 777R (BONR) that colour till her indoors said no, so I says the next one I paint is going to be G4 orange. Well her in doors went wided eyed and shouted Noooooo, I forget the next in line for paint was her E-Type.

If the new owner of that FC is on this list, I want first refusal
