Ack.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/land-rover-def...item3cb5e3e59c

And yet sitting on a fresh galvy frame, and looking fairly well built. Just toss the wheels and you have a decent 90.

The carpet, seats, racing stripe & oversize white front marker lights could go as well...

Those are NAS marker lights, not oversize per se. I don't like the clear thing on a Landy.

True, but they are larger than what should be there...

Ugly ass Euro spec

Pictures and location removed by request of the owners lawyers "take down" notice I received:

Quote:
From: XXXXXXXXXX
Date: Mon, Mar 21, 2011 at 1:39 PM
Subject: ATTN D-90.COM DMCA TAKE-DOWN NOTICE
To: XXXXXXXXXXXX

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing regarding the images located at URLS xxx, xxx, and xxxxx.

Our client, the owner of the vehicle, has not authorized photographs of this vehicle. The photographer has taken photographs including the license plate on the vehicle. Lastly, the photographer has identified the location of the vehicle leaving it susceptible theft.

The unauthorized photographer apparently asked permission to photograph the vehicle and our client declined.

The unauthorized photographs of the vehicle must be removed from the Website as soon as possible.

This letter is in written in good faith as a member of the NY bar.

I affirm under penalty of perjury that I am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the vehicle and that, upon information and belief, the information in this letter is accurate.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

XXXXXXXX

Very odd. It has fenders for a roll cage, 60th hood and recaro seats. At first I thought it was the ultimate bastardization of a jap spec truck but the new rear door and more importantly the rhd throws that out the window. Was it a puma? If so I should get their number.

The owner, or someone who knows them, must cruise the site. I received a "take down" notice from a NY law firm already.

Dude, you're kidding me? What happened to Freedom of Speech? It's not OUR fault that the owner has terrible taste, but it is our DUTY to report it.

Now I want to see pics of this thing. Someone post it elsewhere on a private photo account.

While thin, the letter's points that the license plate and precise location being posted have some merit and since now that they are involving legal forces and hassling me, is the only reason I took them down.

Personally I feel that a truck parked on a public street is fair game to take a picture of if you happen to be driving past, and post up, in fact I cant find a single law that would prohibit that. Edit out the license plate and don't give exact locations. If Dan wants to repost the side shot, go for it.

Dork

If the owner is so worried about people seeing what he drives maybe he should try something a little more subtle like a two tone ford explorer with 20in - 100 spoke rims and a nice custom grill with their name in it. Itís a defender and most likely the only stateside defender with those awful wheels!

I wonder if they put those on just to see if they could get posted under this thread, if so, thatís funny.
