Half dead TWR RRC on the Bay

Hacked and beaten, rusted to hell but not dead:
Item #281007670467

No affiliation, just noting this for those who might give a hoot or have passing curiosity.
I was about to send a long note to the seller about the fact that his truck is a goner, but decided against it.

I thought TWR was for SWB Range Rovers only.

It is possible that someone added this stuff themselves to make a fake TWR. Did I not mention hacked?

From John's rangerovers.net site:

In February 1995 LRNA issued a press release that said: "The TWR kit adds a unique and attractive appearance to the classic Range Rover. The kit is specially fitted at the Factory and is available on a limited number of Epsom Green and Beluga Black County Classics. A dealer installed accessory version of this kit will become available during the second quarter of 1995."

I guess someone had this put on at the dealer's. So buy the eBay pile, take off the body kit, slap it on a clean Beluga Black '95, find some TWR wheels for it and sell it on for big dollars.

I've seen a couple LWB "TWR" trucks - they are the dealer modified ones and they don't have the side skirts either. NOT a true TWR and if someone wants to pay any real $$ for one they shouldn't.

Would be too bad to see the front and rear bumper go to waste though!

That one on bring a trailer is quite nice. Really points out how far mine is away from this clean.
