Guys still running OEM radios (tape decks)

Here's something you'll be interested in.

http://gizmodo.com/easily-update-anc...oot-1493128287

One downside, it has a rechargable battery (which uses Mini-USB?!, what's funny is nothing with mini-USB would also have this version of Bluetooth). This would be great if it could use the mechanical motion of the tape deck itself to recharge...

There is a company that will install all new "guts" in your old school radios I.e mp3 etc.... The muscle car guys have been doing them for a bit. The look like your oem factory deck, but with all the new internals. Just a thought.

I still have the factory radio in my NAS110. Everytime I turn off the battery switch I have to enter the code for it to work again.

Hey Neal. That just means that you are on the switched power instead of the unswitched power (which is where it should be). Easy fix.

I want to leave the truck as stock as possible so if that's how the factory wanted it than so be it. Besides it sounds like shit anyway I never use it. On my 90 that I will be restoring this year it has the whole downtown LA aftermarket sound system with 15" kicker subwoofer and components front rear and of course 2 TV's.

Do you recall the name of the company? This sounds exactly like what I'd like to do..

It's supposed to be on direct power, not switched.
