Gullwing window door Upgrade

Has anyone put a gullwinch rear window on their Defender? Looks good and is very useful. Price is steep.

I know some comapny just started making something similar for Land Cruisers. They replace the rear sliding windows and are like this, however they can be fully removed also. Don't really like the fact that these take a couple inches off the bottom of the window either

OK 'splain me why these are not the dumbest idea. From what I can see, you can only open them from the OUTSIDE. which means they can only be open when the vehicle is stopped or if you don't mind the risk of having a window torn off while driving.

Yeah, I wish the glass went to the bottom.
