Great people @land rover west chester

I don't want to turn this thread into who is and who isn't a good dealer to work with. I just want to pass along my good experiences with the board. I have dealt with Mike McCollum and Gary Webber at West Chester <Pa> Land Rover a number of times and could not say enough good things about these guys. Mike is a member here and has some great deals on parts. He is the wholesale parts manager there. I know a lot of people here have had great experiences with him as well. Really good guy. Like most here I worry about getting my defender serviced at the dealer due to the cost but in my experience with LRWC thier price and service is about the same, sometimes even cheaper then my local mechanic and the right job is done the first time. I recently had a problem with a loud noise coming from the Transfer case area. I stopped in to see my local mechanic who said it was the tc case <$2500.00>. LRWC took a look at it knowing I was told it was the TC. Mike ordered a TC case for me from George at RDS and was ready to put it in for much less then my local shop. After they looked at it again they realized it was only the rear u joints frozen at a fraction of the cost to fix then the TC case. A lot of shops would have put the tc case and u joints in. I don't think I would have known the difference. These guys are really great to deal with and very honest guys.
Just thought I would share my positive experience with the board.
Rich

Rich,
Good to hear. When you get a good experience - let us know. mine all seem to be so so lately (but not as bad as my wife who had a Lexus dealer try to charge $75.00 for a windshield wiper. Oh, and I have that in writting!).

Good on W. Chester
