GOV guidelines for importation - US

The attached is a short version of importation rules. They hold basically true for Canada and the rest of the world when importing a car into the USA.

Note the web address www.nhtsa.dot.gov

This answers all questions. Read, study, weep! and no more threads.

Oh, the full document is some 43 pages long with many tables of official import companies and models.
