Got to love original parts

So I installed my new Badger top today. Thanks again Chris for the help it looks great. For what ever reason the PO of the truck when they switched to the Bestop didn't install the tailgate bar. After reading through the instructions that came with the bar I thought it would be easy to install. I mean it says right there in on the instructions just screw into the hole in the capping. Well guess what no holes in the capping!! ARG. So tomorrow I'll drill and install the bar. Funny how Land Rover seems to think that the truck had ready made holes for it.

Follow-up Post:

One question for those that have Badgers. On the top where the alpine bow meets the cage there is a buckle and a piece of strap that has a loop in one end. What is this for? I'll have pics tomorrow once I find the camera.

I loop mine around the rollbar and then run the bow bar through the loop end. It helps keep the middle side secure. If you need one, I can take a picture of mine. Its snug fit.

I just saw Doug B's new Badger II top the other day. Super-sexy all new and clean black.
