Got my first d90

Well I added a friend for my disco2... picked up a 94 D90... This was originally Trae's truck for a little bit until he sold it to Trevor, who then sold it to Derek Dilks... and now its in my hands.

1994 Land Rover Defender 90 #416
Conniston Green
ARB Winch bumper
F&R Diff guards + pinion guard
285/75/16 BFG MTs

The top is a fastback style now.. I'm going to be changing it to the regular softtop as soon as I can find the rear cage, and eventually, when money allows, a badger top..

Needs a little cleaning up, and I'm going to throw a 2" lift on it most likely...

Congrats on the Rover. It looks just like mine. You;ll have a lot of fun with it. It was the best purchase of my life. I was doing a little rover web browsing last night and noticed this site has this rear cage for sale for a pretty good price. Thought I would let you know or anyone else looking for a rear roll cage for a few hundred bucks.

All the best,

sweet truck...have the oil cooler lines been replaced yet? If not, that should be one of your first orders of business.

Hey Ryan - Nice to meet you today. You've got a great starter 90.

Luckily the oil lines have been done - I cant tell if they are OEM or not because they are covered in that orange aviation-grade fire sleeving, but they are clearly new.

The top is interesting. It looks like a Tickford fastback, which I'm guessing is a custom job by an upholstery shop. Its a nice work, but has a couple wierd features. There is a "sunroof" that velcro's shut and all the snaps have been replaced by twist-stud type fasteners like you see on boats. They are OK except they stick out like an inch and make the tonneu cover worthless since it doesnt have the same fasteners. Dan M (ini88) and I are trying to talk Ryan into getting a shop to modify it all so that it can be used with the belt rails.

Anyway, a good find!

barry -- only club in NJ really is ROVERS (www.roversclub.org) ... the NJLR stickers is just something we threw on our trucks before a trek through canada earlier this year.. not an official club or anything.
