goofy ass connector

went to pull the m416 and noticed this goofy non usa trailer connector. needless to say, i couldnt find it on the shelf around here.

i noticed that AB has a 35 dollar 7 to 4 pin converter, with an english 7 pin connctor soldered on, for 70 bucks. it doesnt even say they used the type that isolates shorts.

anyone have any other solutions? anyone have a wiring diagram? im tempted to get the converter at tractor supply and adapt it myself. ih8gettinboned.

oh, and i noticed two other wires, each with a plugged single pin connector. what are those?

Do you need a UK 7 pin plug? i can send one over if you want.

Actually, here "they" (motor manufacturers) are starting to phase in a 13 pin plug. think it must be some euro thing, but there's extra connectors that have a permanent 12v feed for caravans (normally we have 2 sockets, on inverse of the other so you can't plug the wrong plug in)

and some of the other 13 pins are used to disable the reverse warning sensors and other such rubbish that LR's don't have (or need... you just reverse OVER stuff! LOL!)

there is a factory part the adapts the 7pin to US 4 pin. Mine still has a sticker on it. Reads:

YMZ500480 LAND ROVER 7-PIN TO 4-PIN

I think a dealer, RN, or George would have these.
I think this was about $35, it was a while ago.

hope that helps.

Go to Advance, Napa, Wal-mart or whatever and get a 7-wire euro connector to flat 4-pin. You need the one for individual rear signal lights.

It will look like a flat 4-pin connector only slightly larger. I have used this on my Series and RRC.
