Going to sell my 95 d90

I'm looking to sell my D90. I love it but last year I drove it 500 miles and I hate seeing it sit there unused. I used it for a huge overland adventure and sadly it is not the rig for me. I'm going to rethink what vehicle will do it for me. Likely a Disco (that seems so hard to type).

Onto the question. In a fit of ignorant rage two years ago I threw my well worn but functional soft top into a dumpster after trying to re install it. Feel free to flame me for my temper tantrum.

I now have a beautiful topless rig in Chicago. I'm going to detail it and make it pretty over the coming weeks.

Here's the question:

A. Should I list it as having no top and sell it as such?
B. Should I replace with a top?
C. If I replace with a top, what should I replace it with? Used or new Best Top? Used or new Badger? I don't think I'll add a hard top as that sounds like more effort than worth. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you!
JP

Either buy a used one or pony up the cash for a new one.... Most would prefer to buy a complete truck, that they could use right away.

Typo I assume, his sig says 95. If it is a 96, being 1/1 would make it pretty valuable even without a top

It's a 1995.

Buy a used Best top in good condition for under $400. A new one won't add any real value to the truck to most buyers, but not having a top WILL impact the value.

X2 on what josh said, I had the same problem with a CL7 I sold. Kinda like sinking money into your kitchen before you sell the house. You won't get your money back $ for $ but you will take a big $ hit if you don't have a working kitchen.

BTW I saw some killer Discoverys set this summer and was amazed at their capability on the trail even in relatively stock trim. GLWTS

Plenty of used tops come up for sale here on the board. You might come across a few on a search. GLWTS.

Haha. I'm just saying if he doesn't want to bother with the top again, there are probably a lot of folks here that would buy it topless for the right price. And hey, no top necessary out here in California.

But yes, not having a top would impact value in my opinion,
