Go-bag and a GOTWA

Hey Folks,
I just saw this article and thought it was worth sharing with the group.

Apparently the couple was out 4 wheeling and got stuck. Luckily the woman had some blankets, but apparently not much else. Tragically, the boyfriend died.

4-wheeling or not, I always have a 'go-bag' in the car with some food, clothes, first aid and emergency gear. I also go through 'GOTWA' with my wife or someone not going with me:

G: Where I'm going
O: Others I'm taking
T: Estimated Time of my return
W: What to do if I don't return in that time
A: Well, I guess I don't tell my wife what actions to take if she is attacked or I'm attacked... so N/A!

Lets be safe out there this winter - I'd hate to hear of something like this happening to D-90 members. What sort of stuff do ya'll do to prevent this sort of thing from happening? Obviously 4 wheeling with other vehicles is the best solution.
