I got 18 today, must have been the fresh Mobil 1 throughout. I also cut my AC belt off I wonder if that helps

I averaged 16 mpg (with running A/C) on my trip to HHI this year. Round trip was about 1500 miles.

On the way down, I had my ST windows rolled up (no A/C), on the way back, ST windows shut (down) and A/C blasting.

I can't wait to next years road trip...maybe to Colorado or Vermont...
