It looks like it was done right to me. Now have fun clearing all the tiny screw holes!

Die grinder attachment on a dremmel and one hour and bob is your uncle. If the original rivnuts were left in, you need some taps. All and all a very easy job with the right tools.

Straight as an arrow. I plugged all the threads with bolts smeared with RTV. Didn't even have to heat them. It took me all of 5 mintes to get this ready for primer.

I'm trying the advice of that galvanizing website which said paint within 48 hours. It's got a coat of etching primer now. We'll see how it holds up.
