Land Rover will be announcing some exciting news tonight at 7:01 p.m. EST, regarding their plans at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.

A press release with details will be sent to Retailers this evening, but in the meantime, visit Land Rovers Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/landroverusa and Twitter Page: twitter.com/landroverusa (@LandRoverUSA), for some interesting Land Rover heritage facts and photos that will be updated throughout the day.

That is not a Defender. It looks like a'hybrid' LR2.

Not sure how I feel. I am glad it isnt that cool looking as it might kill our trucks. This is very different looking for sure.

Exactly what I thought when I saw it.

Downside: No more Defenders for the US.
Upside: Ours become more valuable when people realize they want a real Defender and not an LR2 with a Kia body.

I put up with the Evoque hoping that they'd use those to get Defenders past CAFE rules. How wrong I was.
