those tanks seem pretty tough, I got a small tree stuck in between the tank and the skid plate, kinda got me thinking since these are NLA

Did the tank rupture? I replaced the rusted out metal tank from my 110 with a new plastic td5 tank.

Yes I tweaked my exhaust wheeling, and after a 3.5 hour trip home had burned a hole in the side of it. I "welded" it with a tool that is effectively a soldering iron with a foot on the end that you can feed a polyethelene rod through and fill holes with (although it can simply fuse cracks with little or no additional material needed either.
