Front metal badge

I've wanted a front badge that was alloy like the original for a while. Saw these guys selling one and took the plunge.

It isn't a 110 badge, but looks quality and better than the sticker.

Will report back in a few weeks with quality.

Alternatively, and not trying to steal your thread Matt, but if anyone is interested I have 3 genuine LR SVX Defender badges left. Not cheap, but you won't find these again.
Since this is not my thread, I'm not selling on this. I have them listed on Ebay.

No worries at all, our truck styles are on the opposite spectrum and this is just a "look what I found" post

Those are definitely a good deal if they are true to size. I purchased another aftermarket LR emblem and the size was totally different than genuine.
Sometimes they get it right, and other times a waste of money.

How are you going to attached the badge. Are you going to rely on the double sided sticking tape or use rivets?

Thanks
Mark

The depth of the original on early trucks just looks better. Acquired taste

But, wasn't "original" on early Defenders just a decal?

The only genuine one I can find is part # BTR1045. The earlier versions are "LAND ROVER 110" (part # MUC2003) and "110" (part # MXC6397).

no it's actually a plastic plate that matches the rear LR Oval in the back. I'll post a pic when I get home if nobody else has in the meantime.

Yep, yep. I just prefer the plate style over the correct sticker that says land Rover 110.

If I could get a plate style that says land Rover 110 I'd buy it but this is the closest thing.

Again, what I like and happens to be a good deal if quality

Interesting. Do you have a part # for it? It doesn't seem to be in the parts catalogue.

Awesome. Is there a "Land Rover 90" and "Defender" version as well?

Got it in the mail today, quality is excellent. Looks oem.

About 1/16 thick pressed aluminum or something similar with vhb backing. It's semi flexible but would kink if bent.

It's better than the sticker but I'd say not as nice as the original plastic placards.

Will be going on after r the truck gets sprayed. Holes show here are from the original placard that has disappeared.

For the cost of the sticker, this is a nice buy

Still has the anti scratch protection plastic on it here
