Front License Plate Mount Brainstorm

I've got to get this plate off the grill held on with string . I haven't come across many good ideas to mount a plate to the front of a Rockware. I'd guess there are creative ways of mounting magnetically to the bumper. Or a bracket around the fairlead that can be removed easily before use.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Are you willing to drill your bumper? I guess there is enough room to mount it either hanging down off the front edge or above the bumper line if it can come in below the headlight.

have a further back front picture?

Mantec and Tuffy make versions - a quick google search will return quite a few of options. Here is a link to the tuffy one...

Yeah, and it looks like you can put extensions on them as well, to clear that thimble thing you have.

What about the one Rovertym used to sell? I don't see it on their site, but I wouldn't be surprised if they still make them. It was a bracket that mounted between the fairlead and the bumper that had two tabs to mount the number plate directly above it.

I automatically thought to go off to one side or the other. Wouldn't that be the easiest solution?

I drilled two small holes and mounted it just below the headlight

The only problem with the flip up solutions is that I have those light tabs in the way. Not sure I can fit the plate in between those two tabs. Especially when I mount lights there.

I really like the ones that jam into the fairlead. Just need to find ones for the aluminum rather than roller fairlead.

Thanks all!

Here's what I have and it's brand new. I used one of these on my 97 with a synthetic hawse fairlead and it worked great. Don't know what I did with the used one. Any reasonable offer and it's yours.

You could always roll with no front plate. That's what I do on most of the vehicles I've had.
