100% on someone's land. This is getting weird now. Get the VIN, then this becomes something more than a "Hey, steal this truck" thread.
Didn't seem to deter you considering you PM'd me saying "Where is this truck? I have a trailer ready to pick it up tomorrow"

Nice work!!!! Could very well be there! Anyone interested should double check its not a privately owned preserve, I do know its open to the public so no harm in investigating. From what i can see in the pic, there aren't any buildings near it.

I tried that, but I think the metadata gets wiped when uploaded as an attachment

When you start a thread with some semblance of authority that you can sell a vehicle, yea, I'd be on my way with a truck and trailer. But this is shady, and not worth it IMHO.

And the Irvington Woods (if that is really where it is) is a privately owned preserve. It isn't public land.

About The Irvington Woods
I still don't know if that is the exact preserve. Apparently my friend will find out today the exact spot. If it is private land I wouldn't mind calling and asking about it. Maybe someone's dying to get it out of the woods.

Plus, I don't think "the woods of Irvington" is all privately owned. I'm sure the public hiking trails could be state land

That's not it. If you look at the picture, it's right off a tarmac trail and there is a cement block (likely a sewer outlet) to its left. The picture looks like it may be a screenshot, so geolocation metadata may not do any good. The upside is that it looks like a fairly small area. Anyone with a bike and a day to burn could find this thing. If not, maybe call the parks and rec for Irvington...they probably know about it.

Suggested Trail Hikes – The Irvington Woods

Ok start walking/riding your bikes.

I bet if it is there someone will find it by tomorrow morning without any more info from the OP.

Anyone consider the idea that it was stolen and taken for a joyride until it ran out of fuel?
Or it was used in a crime?

It belonged to DB Cooper. He drove it from the west coast.

My first impression is that someone had been doing a bit of unprepared off roading, had a catastrophic failure and left it there, probably a very long time ago. Its got that little film of nature covering the car and the flats.

It hasnt been there for as long as you think, based on the vegetation and condition. There arent even any leaves on it which means it wasnt there last fall.

To me, it looks like it was driven there dirty probably in the wintertime (last years leaves all under the truck), maybe got stuck/broke in the snow and the crappy old tires have just gone flat since. The guy probably tried to walk out and froze to death.

Can't wait until this turns into another lawsuit and/or drama filled thread.

I remember several other cases of Rover-type people on D-90 taking things that don't belong to them.
