Houston will break 75 today; I will gladly drive around with it. I dig it.

I put the top on for winter to keep the snow off the sheepskin seat covers. It is nice enough that it is time to come off. It is currently running a RN top as I sent the badger with chicky. In summer I run topless and keep a badger bimini strapless top in the truck for rain and use a bestop cubby cover to keep from having another yeastie cubby box. The problem I have is my back gets wet in the rain with only the bimini top.

I'd love to give that top a try since I've been looking for summer options too. My truck is in the shop for another "couple of weeks", so I won't get a chance to try anything.

Feedback of someone who did not install/saw/touched that top:
It gets hot in the back of the truck and I thought about making side windows out of 2" nylon bands (It feels/felt like the available options were too expensive/nice for the need I have, since I always forget to price my time in there! ) Never thought about using a mesh-based top. I think that's a good idea.
Not sure I'd take the chance with the top/roof portion being mesh when it pours (think summer thunderstorm). Maybe it does not let water through? What about 10 years from now?
I don't like the holes where the mesh meets the roll cage, feels like it's a ghetto setup (i.e. "I could do this"! ). Maybe a way to have something go around the cage tube to hide the holes.
Is this scratch resistant? (i.e. scraping against tree branches, etc.)

I love innovative people and products!

i'm driving down to high springs Fl on thursday. get it here by then and i'll let you know what i think. I am spending a week diving in the area (weather should be in the 80's) and can give feed back. etc.

i'll carry the badger too but it need to keep the rain off somewhat for me (truck is packed with dive gear so not too important)

I am too tall to use a badger drop curtain and the one I had was the short one which looked dumb. I just keep a raincoat in the truck.

Think yourself lucky it wasn't one of my reviews... It might have turned into another 'locker' thread where we could debate the finer points of water repellent mesh vs. pvc vs. mohair in intricate and excruciating detail for page after page....

I wouldn't like the rope, I would think straps would be better. The rope will cut into the foam, also the eyelets are going to bang and rub against any surface within 1/2 inch unless that top is super tight, which brings you back to the first concern.

It does look "Billy Bad Ass"!

After 75 miles there is no sign that the "rope" is marking the cage. I think a strap could not provide the tension necessary to secure the top. The eyelets are low enough that they have not touched the body.

It's been a month - where's the rest of this review? I would have had at least 20 pics and 1,000 words on this review already if it had been sent to me! Just sayin'.
