Pier 54 is sometimes open, but I wouldn't count on it. It's a cool spot though.

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=nyc&hl...286.33,,0,5.88

West Broadway is cool, but may be too much traffic even in the AM - a little East on Greene or Mercer there's usually no one driving over there since it's all cobble stone.

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=nyc&hl...21.83,,0,-5.73

Wooster used to be cool too
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=nyc&hl...7.51,,0,-12.27

There's also the old Bowery Bank over on Bowery and Spring, but there may not be many cool ways to set up the trucks there - just a cool backdrop.

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=nyc&hl...30.02,,0,-3.22

I used to have a friend who lived in Vinegar Hill - Brooklyn which was considered "the part of NYC that time forgot" but I don't think it's exactly the same anymore. There are a few cool spots over there though.

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=nyc&hl...13.84,,0,-4.12

I'll keep thinking.

John, I was also told that you should DEFINITELY have your student ID on you, so that it doesn't look like you're taking professional shots for money or an ad agency or anything:

"Just be sure to have your Student ID with you so you don't get hassled by the law. If you are shooting portraits for money, you will be required to buy a permit to take photos within the city limits"

Manhattan will be packed with tourists, but the West Village won't - not enough for the tourists to do over here in the morning, except for the high line.

Photoshoot

Just double checking... Is the photoshoot definitely happening tomorrow? If so, do we have a time and location? Thanks, Tom

Yeah didn't I send it to you? Gansevort and 9th at like 9 AM. We'll be heading South from there. If you can't make 9, call me on your way in and I'll let you know where we are. Or just PM me.
