Foxfield

I'm sure there are some folks on here that have attended the Foxfield Races in Charlottesville and know the types of sights that can be scene. For those that have not I have one word to say, "Sundress". Well I worked the event today and for some reason the only sight I seemed to pay attention to was a you know what, and it wasn't a sundress. It was a 1984 with a 2.5 NA Diesel and was completely refurbished. Interior looked really good and chassis looked solid. The owner said it got to this side of the pond two weeks ago. Anyone know who brought it over? He told me a guy on Martha's Vinyard, but I didn't catch the name. I would have to change the color and motor, but other than that it seemed like a great little truck. He left it running the entire time he was there and it just hummed along with no problem. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.

Foley doing it would make sense. I asked him how muck he had in it and was expecting to hear something around 10-12k, but he said close to 30k. I almost fell over.

Yeah. TJC is building a truck for my friend that I'm shipping to him. It's bill is around 27,000. It will be like a brand new 300 tdi Defender 110, but 30k for a 90 van model is crazy. You said the interior was good, but is that like brand new good or just not shredded 80s interior? Named shops do charge a lot for their work. I think TJC does good work from what I saw inside their shop.

Interior wasn't like new, but it looked very neat and clean

Different one same paint job. There were two riding around C'ville today, but they were NAS SWs not imports. I tried to get a picture with my phone, but couldn't hit the right buttons before they turned off behind me. The guy at Foxfield told me they painted up some NAS trucks before they realized they could do imports cheaper.

I saw that truck in C'ville months ago when we were leaving a Harry Connick Jr. concert at the Pavilion. Hell, it may have been this time last year. I know it was just as hot outside...
