Took my defender in 5 days ago for some much needed attention. As of yesterday they had not even looked at it. New garage, same experience? I hope not. They seem like nice folks BUT....

Could be a good sign that they have lots of work and haven't gotten to your ride yet.

You have the option to turn your own wrenches and not depend on someone else if you have the time...

Thumbs up Rovertek

I have one word for you ...ROVERTEK, call/PM Chris he is here on the forum. I was there today along with two other forum members who came in for service and were out by days end. Quality professional service at a reasonable price.

I'm lucky to be local. Worth the trip to Farmingdale if you can get there.

I just missed you. You were rolling out as I was pulling up in that red L322 loaner from Glen Cove.

Rovertek sums it up. Chris is the man.

Foreign car center is not a recommended shop in my opinion. He has a to do unnecessary work and charge accordingly.

He mentioned that you come to him for work when I first went there.
I didnt have a good experience in the Bronx.
Ricardo seems like a good guy but he was going to turn it around in two days and is short when I ask whats up. The issues are big and I like to know what is going on.

I would go out to Chris but no way home.

Chris is a short walk to the Farmingdale LIRR station, so that may be a good option.

Maybe next time. My trans has been grinding and my rear end clunking for 2 years. I'm excited to have it fixed.
I just like to know what is going on.

Well, trucks been in for a week. Nothing has been done and I'm driving out of town Thursday.
Made an appoint. Outlined the work to be done. No problem.

Nothing has been done. And worse he kept promising to call with updates. Never did.
It's a daily driver. Don't have the luxury of weeks sitting idle in a shop bay.

I'll give him a call. Thanks. Probably out of time for this week as the trans has to come out.

Nothing but good stuff to say about Chris (Rovertek). If I can't/don't want to do it myself, it goes to him. No experience with anybody else.

That's the problem with being that well-liked, more people want you to work on their vehicle. I echo all the comments about Rovertek, he did some great work on a D2 that was purchased by an employee.
