For sale forum

Hi,

Is there a way to have the FSF indicate when a vehicle or item has been sold or is still for sale? It would be a nice feature to save time cruising the threads with a little tab or something. Just a thought that maybe has already been considered or maybe I am missing it.

Take care,
Brian

FWIW, I'd like to see the For Sale & Wanted pages combined into one. Wanted ads often don't get much traiic because folkd spend more time on the For Sale page. I believe that would lead to more people finding what they want.

Problem is, the only way for that to work is if the title starts with 'FS' or 'WTB'. People would use niether, and there would be confusion as to whether the part is for sale or wanted.

It would also be nice to be able to edit the thread title so it can be marked SOLD when it is sold.

This is the ideal solution.

It would also be nice if people would put some other descriptions in the title like (ROW, NAS, LHD, RHD, etc).

exactly. They're better off separated. I'd like it if people searched the for sale section before posting a wanted thread too, but that would be an ideal world.

People are morons, that will never work.

Being able to go back and edit the original post or title without it bumping the thread is the best solution.

If do do this, please do not let the seller remove the asking price and the subsequent posts stating the updated prices. Very annoying to see SOLD instead of what the truck was listed / sold for, which is how i assess value of relative trucks and parts. I think Guns and rovers and RN forum do this and it is not fun. I do love that this forum forces you to post a price, so good on ya.
