FML Range Rover now sick

She sounds like a steam engine (per JimC). I think it is either a bad valve, bad lifter w/wiped cam lobe or a headgasket blow b/w #3 and #5.

Anyone want a 1995 LWB for cheap

Needs rear x-member on the body and needs D/S floor patched. Sills are good as is frame. Upper liftgate is good (no rust). Lower is solid but with surface rust in one spot.

Ron

95 means PITA import into CDN (extra fees). I will stick to 15 years + old. Too bad, I like 95s. I am sure someone on here will want it.

Frank www.roverrepairs.com is going to take a look and see if he can fix it. Based on his diag, we will go from there.

BTW it will be 15 in November of this year. 11/94 build date.

We will see what Frank says tomorrow about how sick she is. If it is just head gaskets I am getting her fixed. If it is a dropped liner, I am not sure she deserves the 4.6 in my closet. Cam is somewhere in between. If the motor is toast, $1500 cash, but you have to call the ex to sign the title (she will, we just don't speak).

Ron here i think i found a good solution: Take the 3.9 out of Chiquita put it in the lwb, then sell me chiquita without the motor for 1500. its a win win i get a yellow soft top you get your DD back and have more time to work on your 110/dormoblile.
Sound Good?
JK

Hope you dont have to sell it

I have two spare 3.9 motors so that is unlikely. The 4.6 really belongs in the 110 or chicky but they both have running motors now.

I will throw in a free 3.9 motor with the sh*tbox if I sell it. I will even put ina 3.9 ecu to match (the 4.2 ecu is going in chicky if the sh*tbox is passed on).

Frank says head gasket b/w 4 and 6 (I am a moron and counted cylinders wrong in post 1). He does not think it is more serious than that so he is going to tear it down and find out.
