Hey guys. Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm constantly on the road, and usually miss having my truck around. Wondering if it's possible to flat tow my 110 Td5 behind my tour bus, or if I have to maybe get more creative?

I call bull shit. It has been done, I am sure Horsey can pull links up for you. I will pull a manual for you on this subject.

Here is where it has been discussed before. http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...5125#post85125

I would recommend a car trailer.

I always disconnect the driveshafts from the differentials when I flat tow. Might be good to have a back up camera to see the truck behind the bus. Since you will not be able to see it in the rear view mirrors. And a rather long tow arm would work best.

Let us know if this is BS. If not, nice first post.

Thanks for the link. Is that applicable for a Td5 though? Looks like only the D90s are discussed in there. Is there more I have to be concerned with since it's a Td5?

I may go the trailer route if it'll help ensure the truck actually works when I need it to. I don't care too much about the wear and tear aspect, but I'd like it to work when I need it to. My buddy Ashton has a D90 and his is always getting stuck in reverse.

Philip - DUDE...really? - if it is real...who knows but...

John - best bet is to flat bed it behind the bus...seeing you wont be driving shouldn't be an issue for a pro to deal with it - that way you dont have to disconnect drive shafts.

I think the trailer would be best. Less chance someone working for you might damage the D110 trying to haul it around for you. And it is easy enough to make sure it is tied down properly. The Td5 D110 has the same transfer case that the older trucks do for the most part. So you are dealing with the same issues.
Flat towing is more hands on. More a way to conserve resources.

I like April fools day at D90

The photo was sent to me along with a collection of shots that were taken after my Shadow Days video. We were playing with the idea of releasing the song as a single at the time, and we had a crew on scene to take some shots after the video wrapped. That one is one of my favorite ones.

Speaking from a purely theoretical standpoint, it would be a better joke if it was actually real.

If you don't have a roof rack, go with dual axel cargo trailer.
If you do, buy one tall enough.
I've towed a flat trailer and a cargo behind our 45' and the cargo pulls better and everything is not covered with bugs (love bugs in he south) the trailer hardly impacts fuel economy.
Plus the ramp is built in.
