Flare Question

I was under the impression if you wanted new flares you could only get them shiny these days yet on a new base model defender they come flat. Why is that?

I thought the new ones came with flares painted the same color as the vehicle.

They do unless you get the base model in which case they are flat black. Go to www.landrover.com and build a new defender.

Methinks Barry meant .co.uk. Always fun to play around there.

I think Keith from Rover Tracks has this style on his 110, if they are the ones I am thinking of they do not look exactly the same as the old style. the old style had a sparkle to them where the ones Keith has are just a flat black.

They still look 1000x better than gloss

I heard that the glossy ones go flat after a while in the sun anyway.

Are you saying my rovers aren't going up in value?

Yes it is a bit rough having two. When one is running well the other is sure to not be. It NEVER ends.

As for having two, I never thought I would have a 110 or even want one. I always wanted a 90 and when I got one it was my daily driver. Then a good deal 110 came around and I had to have it. Things I have learned: There are no good deals and I like driving the 110 more than the 90 the majority of the time.
