My dad has a spot on Fort Loudoun Lake, just outside Knoxville, that he pulls them out of every year. Good fishing.

Thanks, they've been a blast. A 60lber is an absolute giant! I hooked one last year on my 12wt that I could never slow down. I dead drifted a herring fly in current, and let it swing, twitching it on the swing. It was only 15' or so away from me (the water is dingy) and a monster came up and nailed it close to the surface. I'd just landed a 30+lber minutes earlier, and the big boy looked darn near twice the size. He realized he was hooked, turned downstream, and I may as well have hooked an Amtrak. I fought him for 10 or so minutes (I was standing on a rock) and got in to clear the line from debris downstream. He almost yanked me into the river headfirst a couple of times, but I finally turned him. Once I got him around 50' away, he started thrashing on top in a shallow shelf, and he threw my fly.... After all that! I've been crying ever since.... My largest landed has been in the upper 30s, and it paled in comparison to that monster.
