Firsto Message

Hi all.

This is my first message down here on THE Source :-D

First of all I ask You for some patience, 'couse English is not my first language.

I write from Italy and until 3 weeks ago I owned a Defender 90 Td5 (MY 2002), called NEMBO (Nimbus, in english, the stormy cloud).

As said, 3 weeks ago i sold it (with rivers of tears...). But it was to buy... a Defender 110 Crew Cab Td5!!!

I called it TORQUEMADA: the first part of the name (TORQUE) explains itself; Torquemada was an inquisitor: I'll be the modern inquisitor for Toyotas, Jeeps and friends :-D

I'm going on to understand how the "long one" moves in offroad, but I feel very comfortable with it.

There are no lockers at the moment: big tyres (Michelin 255/100-16) are very helpful, especially if aired down at values below 1 bar. I already used that tyre on my 90, which had 2 ARB's and a full Aschroft set of Halfshafts and CVs.

What to say... I'm happy to be a member of this mad squad ;-D

very nice, you may want to look into some sliders to protect your doors.

Thanks all for welcome :-D

@ RUGBIER:
Parli molto bene l'italiano o sei italiano? :-D

@RON:
I'm designing 'em in Autodesk Inventor. To maintain the line of front bumper and rear bumperettes I'm designing door sliders in tubular. I think to use 'em as air tank for OBA system.

@GRNRVRS
Yes, remote ones. Exactly HotBits. Not shure about the model, but they are adjustable.

Doug does realize that South America is not a country, right?!? I think he's been spending too much time down there in the country!
