First real offroading with D90 and 1965 series IIA

Ok, so we got tired of the logging roads, where the biggest challenge was finding mud puddles to get the wheels dirty...so I set out to find some folks who would babysit us noobies. Sadly no one here could go so I went further afield and posted on the Jeep forum. Those guys were awsome, giving tons of advice and offers to coach and haul our butts outta trouble should the need arise.

Went to Tahuya where we swam through huge mud swamps, climbed steep mountains, jumped over deep crevasses and slithered through the narrowest spaces imaginable!!! Ok, it was a pond, steepish hill, medium gully and sorta kinda tight ga(S)ps between trees. Too much fun was had and we will be heading out again with our new Jeep friends! ok, get the stones to inflict the punishment for going to the 'other side' but hey, life is short and the trails we had to hit. I posted a few videos of our day out on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/xcape2us.../1/Fd7363x5B6s
Hoping to go again in a week or so...should anyone want to join us!! I will post time and date under "hitting the trail or event'' section once I have more details

Wow- great to see you are still alive and well (sorry I haven't written lately). Better to wheel with Jeeps than not to wheel :-) Keep getting muddy, cheers!!

The little IIa was amazing. Have to give it to my 18 yr old who seems to have amazing driving skills also...no doubt from driving his challenging truck! Dale, yup still kicking and screaming! I've been meaning to talk to you about not emailing me!!! just kidding. LOVE THE MUD and don't want to wash BL!!! Unfortunately my youngest wrote "clean me" on her so now I have to go find more mud!! Such a bummer. Will shoot you an email
