First beach day of the rebuilt beach runner

Thanks to BDR for doing the bulkhead. All other prep, galv and riveting done by me.

New top from all wheel trim is in the mail and winch goes on Monday.

I'm sorry I didn't see a defender in the first pic?!

Approve of the colour! Was it a professional spray or DIY? Name/paintcode?

Killer truck! Great time to enjoy it. Looks like the beginning of a fantastic day.

Love the personal plate! Sure, your truck is legal, but I don't think that outfit is! Haha. Jk. Good for you! ;-)

Which beach did you go to?

Truck looks great. Those are the skinny 35" Swampers, right? That good must be heavy!

Thanks for all the comments,

We went to long branch beach, lots of parking and free access for veterans!

And yes the hood is seriously fucking heavy, like about 90 lbs

Truck looks badass. I like the 550 cord on the steering wheel. Love the color, and very curious about details for the coating. Body panels need the extra dent resistance from all the chicks that come running....

The truck is so much quieter now, it's pretty amazing. Panels have a hard pliable feeling but not rubbery.

I was quoted 6k to do the truck in non uv stable line-x. This was a third of that and they did all the prep in a 80ft long basting cabinet.

The material is called tough coat, comes in any color, sprayed on heated and cures to the touch in 30 seconds, full cure is a few days later. It's uv stable and does not require a topcoat or paint.

Can be sprayed on textured or smooth(more labor)

Nice Bumper! Also: Do you have a "hat" for the shifter so it does not get too hot when parked?
